Evansville and Vanderburgh County have reached an agreement with AT&T Inc. to install what they call the state's largest city/county fiber-based network. The aim is to provide faster and more efficient communication among emergency responders and other city and county facilities. Information technology departments from the city and county along with AT&T have been working on the design of the project for more than a year.
